Dundee, 8th August 2007:
Prominent showbiz personalities placed their seal of approval on the Tay River Trips as Marigot played host to an impressive array of personalities.
On a fine summers’ day, Rowan Atkinson, Clive Anderson and John Lloyd embarked on Marigot with their families for a two hour tour of the estuary. The dolphins were somewhat elusive to start with, but were finally located at the Lady Buoys and put on a fine display of formation swimming for their enthralled audience.
On the return journey Rowan Atkinson took the helm and demonstrated an impressive level of skill in steering the 40 tonne motor launch. On arrival at Broughty Ferry Harbour, the party expressed their appreciation of the morning’s outing and the care demonstrated by the MVS crew.

Dundee, 4th May 2008: Working up!
An old naval expression which describes the process whereby a ship and crew are intensively tested. Marigot has been restored throughout the winter season and her crew members are now being put through their paces. The process should have started earlier but we were unable to bring Marigot out of Victoria Dock due to storms. She is now almost ready for service and the timetables will be published shortly. Meanwhile Badger will soon begin her long awaited engine replacement and is expected to rejoin the Tay River Trips fleet in August.
