A Community Boat Service operated by the Taymara Charity

Trips in September

We have reluctantly decided to take our main passenger carrying vessel Marigot out of service this year due to the continuing engineering problems with the dock gate at the Port of Dundee.  The Port offered to lift Marigot back into tidal waters by crane at the end of July but as there is no guarantee that the gate will be repaired in time for her to return to her winter berth in Victoria Dock in October/November, she will not be operating the passenger service this year.

Badger was lifted out by crane in May but her primary function this year is to  take children suffering from long term illnesses on Dolphin Watching trips sponsored by Children in Need and Radio Tay Cash for Kids. She is also busy doing sponsored trips for autistic children and young adults with special needs. There has been a large uptake for this service from Ninewells Hospital, local charities and council welfare departments and they will obviously get first call on the available trips.

However there are spare slots for Dolphin Trips available to the general public and Badger is also available for private hire wherever possible.   click for September Schedule

Please telephone 01382 542516 and we will see what we can do for you by way of trips in September.

Taymara is a charity run entirely by volunteers on a not for profit basis for the benefit of the local community.

We aim to provide a community boat service and maritime experience through sightseeing and dolphin watching trips which allow great opportunities to see the river and its wildlife as it should be seen - from the water!

In addition, we aim to provide sea training for individuals and vulnerable groups who might normally be excluded from this experience.
We also work closely with organisations who provide recovery and rehabilitation programmes which encompass drug and alchohol abuse.

(Taymara is registered in Scotland, Charity number SC039319. Company number SC334650)
